The Electrical Volunteers Report Sunday 20-12-2015.

8) Just the three of us in on Sunday, John, Jonathan and myself, Clive is still down under and Len had relations visiting.

After a swift brew we stripped down the Smiths electric clocks which we plan to have on platform two at BBS, we should be able to get one working out of the two mechanisms.
One of the clock mechanisms has an open circuit coil due to water ingress and the other mechanism appears to just want lubricating, all we have to do now is to put it back together.

I stripped a carriage plug cover of layers of old paint, then found three other covers which had been prepared for painting and finished them off in gloss black paint.

Lunch was taken in our workshop along with a chocolate cake which John had brought in for us to sample.

A trip up to the Bury Standard Four Group workshop was next on the agenda to check out a floodlight which lights up a dedicated walkway in front of the workshop.
The floodlight was full of water, a seal not doing it's job, a replacement is due me thinks!

Back next week, depending on our Christmas goes, a Merry Christmas to all forum readers and ELRPS members. :D
Deep in the heart of Swinetown.
