The next job was to replace blown bulbs in the Christmas lights we had erected last week at Heywood Station, we didn't have time last week to do a lamp check on the lights.
We caught the DMU shuttle to Heywood and replaced about twenty blown bulbs in the Christmas lights, a bulkhead lamp was also replaced on the side of the station building.
Last week we also did a check on Heywood Station lamps and after changing five blown bulbs, one station lamp was still not working so this week the fuse was checked OK and power getting to the lamp OK. We will need the tower scaffold next week to check the ballast in the top of the lamp, another three new bulbs will be ordered to replace another three lights which appear to have gone out since last week.
It was then back to our workshop in BBS for some lunch and a brew washed down with more chocolate cake which John had brought in.
The next task in the same theme, was to catch the Santa train up to Rawtenstall Station to do a Christmas lamp check on the sting of lights we had erected previously.
Twenty bulbs were replaced in total with a few remaining to be replaced once our stock has been replenished, we will be back there next week to finish off the job.
It was then back on the Santa train to BBS and one final brew before we all headed off home.
