The Electrical Volunteers Report Sunday 13-11-2022.

What a beautiful summery day it was today, shirt sleeves in November, unbelieavable, enjoying today were Jonathan, John, Colin, Sophie, Stephen and myself. 8)

We had a brew, sorted out all the gear we needed for the day and caught the DMU up to Heywood Station to erect the two strings of Christmas lights.
The lights were then tested along with the Christmas tree which was erected at the same time. :D

It was then back to Bury Bolton Street Station to collect the next set of Christmas lights for Rawtenstall Station, we had our lunch in the station cafe with a cup of coffee before starting work.

We erected the lights on the station lamp heads, then tested them to ensure all was working satisfactorily, the station master was informed all was well and that we would be back to sort out a platform light and a waiting room light which are not working.

We then caught the Pacer DMU back to BBS Station, the Christmas lights at Ramsbottom Station will be erected next Sunday.

A final brew was had along with some cake provided by the Station Master at Rawtenstall Station, thank you.

Back next week for more illuminating facts and figures.
Deep in the heart of Swinetown.
