We recovered the lamp heads which had been stripped and sanded down last week and set them up on the workbench outside, they were painted black and then allowed to dry in the sunshine.

Jonathan and Colin tested the fire alarm call points in Bury Bolton Street Station and recorded their findings.

An angle grinder from Bury Standard 4 Group workshop was repaired by Jonathan, a broken wire was the culprit on the motor, Jonathan then returned the angle grinder and was asked if he would repair another angle grinder. This proved to be a simple job just cutting back a damaged mains cable in the grinder. When this grinder was returned with grateful thanks to Jonathan he was asked if he could repair a bench grinder which has a faulty switch, we shall have to see if we can obtain a spare switch.

Lunch was had outside in the pleasant sunshine before starting work again testing the five lamp heads which we had now had white paint applied to the underside of the lamps.

The five lamp heads were all tested and all but one worked, this was down to a faulty lamp holder which will be replaced next week.
