Harry from the Bury Standard 4 Group asked us to have a look at one of the light fittings at the rear of their carriage shop on platform one at BBS.
We went down to have a look at the light fitting in the shop, it was a double four foot fitting with one tube not working.
Back to our workshop for a replacement tube only to discover that the end connectors would not turn stoping us from fitting a new tube. Because the original fitting was only four foot it was quite dark at the rear of the carriage shop, so it was back to the workshop to find a replacement fitting.
We managed to find and test a six foot single fitting in the workshop it was back to the shop to dismantle the old fitting and to fit the new six foot lighting unit. The light being given out now is much better and you can see what is in the rear of the shop much better.

It was now lunch time and a well earned break.
We then got on with finishing off painting the six station light fittings which we had taken down from Ramsbottom Station, these will be reassembled next week and taken back to Ramsbottom Station reinstalled and another six lamp heads removed for refurbishing back in the workshop at BBS.

Brew time then beckoned with a fruit cake which Len had kindly brought in for us to devour, Mmmmmmmm.
Back next week for more electrical shenanigans.
