THE ELECTRICAL VOLUNTEERS' REPORT SUNDAY 05-04-15

I was the only one working today. The others had declared a holiday.

A 16 amp extension lead (for carriage battery charging) had been left for repair. It had twice been run over by a train. This is a common occurrence. I cut out the damaged bit in the middle and made two shorter leads out of one long one. I then PAT tested it.

As I had the PAT tester set up for extension leads, I PAT tested a pile of leads that we have in stock. One was found to be wired with reverse polarity. I corrected this and re tested it.

That was about it for a quiet Easter Sunday.
