On Saturday Jonathan worked on stripping and painting some of the carriage plugs ready for reassembling on Sunday.
John was attending a radio show in Birmingham on Sunday, that left Clive, Len, Jonathan and myself to do a variety of jobs on Sunday.
When we arrived we found a lot of electrical equipment which some kind person or persons had left outside our workshop, we set about making some room in our upstairs stores by scrapping a load of old lamp shades, we stripped them and saved the lamp fittings and chain before scrapping the shades.
We moved most of the equipment upstairs on our now cleared shelving, the equipment donated will come in very handy for use on the railway.
Some of the units donated were fluorescent fittings which we tested prior to storing them away.
Clive and Len got cracking wiring and soldering up carriage plugs with the renovated components, Jonathan and I then tested ten of the carriage plugs prior to fitting back on the carriages.
We then cleaned up the workshop had a brew, then called it a day till next week.
