Today saw the full team out, Clive, Len, Jonathan, John and myself, we had two jobs to do, the first was to make up a twenty two metre charging lead to enable the twenty four volts charge from one carriage, to also keep the batteries on another carriage charged up.
This is for a filming contract which is taking place at Bury Bolton Street Station this week, I believe for two days.
Two newly refurbished carriage plugs were used along with cleaned copper pins, we then soldered up both plugs fitted new screws, then heat shrinked sleeving over the fixing nut. They were then tested for continuity.
The second job was to re-assemble the fluorescent light fitting we had removed last week from platform three/four, once we had tested the fitting we loaded the two long step ladders along with the fitting and our tools to erect the fitting back on top of the lamp post.
We had to use the step ladders has someone as taken our mobile tower scaffold again from it's home underneath the arches, does anyone know were it is?
Lunch was then taken after which we made a start on making up some more new carriage plugs, we managed to finish off six in total, before calling it a day and heading off home for some of us to watch the footy on the tele. and to sup a few beers
COME ON ENGLAND & DO US PROUD.
