I`d just like to say a big thanks you to all the lads at the South Tynedale Railway for a fantastic day yesterday, a lovely little railway, professionally operated with excellent facilities and set amidst some lovely countryside, truely a joy to travel on and I wish the society the best best for the extension down to Slaggyford. It was great to be able to travel on a section of the Halthwhistle to Alston line, what a great shame it was closed in the first place, but what a great effort by the STR.
