beyer peacock event locos so far?

hiya
just to up date you on the event at Liverpool Rd Station
now MOSI in MANCHESTER.
and Gorton !!!

Locomotives inc,
K1 the 1st garrett, 13-16th only
garrett "william francis"
beyer-peacock works shunter 0-4-0 1827,
beyer-peacock steam tram and trailer,
a main line br standard loco 14-16th only,
plus busses, cars and steam road vehicles.

the event takes place 8th -16th august

you may of seen the ad in the ELR news for the great garratt gathering??


please note this is a free event


the only thing you have to pay for is to ride on the train

mian line loco is booked to be 71000 DUKE OF GLOUCESTER presume in light steam should steal the show.

The ELRPS Display Stand will also be there. This is due to my involvement in bringing the Museum on board with the ELR in general.
I have had meetings with them and at one of them I mentioned that we have a Hymek which was built entirely at Gorton, so its no wonder they wanted it, in fact my hand still hurts were they tried to snap it off.

I also put them in touch with the Bury Transport Museum people so don't be surprised if you see things at this event that will appear in the new look museum in October.

This is the reason you will have noticed an advert in the current issue of the ELR News for this event.

We could do with some help in manning the stand, as I see this a golden opportunity to get the Family and the kids to the ELR BEFORE the end of the school holidays.

YES, this event is right in the middle of those holidays and we have hopefully got a huge and captive audience right in the city centre.

Thank you for your very kind offers which I will be glad to accept.

As this is not until August, there is time to get things sorted out.
I am up to my eyes at this moment with the HRA Visit this Sunday, so could I ask that you each send me a Private Message with your phone numbers on it so that I can get in touch when the the final details are ready.
