Today I was joined by, Clive, Jonathan, John, Colin, Sophie, Stephen, Peter and Ming, after a brew and a breakfast barm it was decided to catch the 10:00 train to Ramsbottom Station.
Clive had designed a circuit to replace the old circuitry in one of the emergency lights from the Bury Transport museum; the circuit was tested and left with a note for the ELR electrician to approve.
Clive and Ming sorted out the south facing clock pace of the clock on BBS.
We collected all the tools and a ladder to recover lamp heads from the platform lights, which are in need of refurbishment.
A total of seven lamp heads were removed and loaded onto the same train we had arrived on.
On arrival back at Bury Bolton Street Station and our workshop all the gear was unloaded, we then had our lunch break.
After lunch the lamp heads were stripped down, cleaned then rubbed down with sand paper to provide a good key when they are painted.
We had a final brew and one of Mr. Kiplings finest before calling it a day.
