David B had texted to say that he would not be joining us as he was called out to attend to a fault in his day job.

We all had a brew before starting work, then Jonathan went off to check out the fire alarm call points in Bury Bolton Street Station, all was satisfactory and the result logged.

The full time ELLR electrician, Barry joined us with Lee Kenny the general manager fresh from his visit with the prime minister Rishi Sunak who visited the ELLR yesterday on an election visit.
Clive, Jonathan, John and Dave E caught the train to Rawtenstall Station to check and finish off some modifications to the three way switching of the platform lights. All that is left to do is make some labels for the switches to be fitted at a later date.

Myself and Stephen checked out some light fittings from the Bury Transport Museum and decided with Barry the ELLR electrician to convert some into LED lighting, Barry will order the new components to enable this.

Lunch was taken in our workshop and we were later joined by Clive and his party returned from the job in Rawtenstall.
Clive had brought in two new 12volt batteries to replace existing batteries in the Station clocks on platform 2, 3/4, these act as battery back up in case of an electricity failure, both were replaced and the clocks checked out.

We shall be back next Sunday for more jobs on the ELLR.
