The Electrical Volunteers Report Sunday 05-05-2024

Post by asbibby »

:) Today i was joined by, Dave S, Colin and Peter we had a swift brew before deciding what tasks we would do today.

We had been asked a couple of weeks ago to reposition a double 13A socket in the Bury Standard 4 Group shed, a visit to the shed was made to ascertain would we would require to complete the job.

The newly refurbished volunteer toilets were christened and what a change they are, Tanfastic. :)

It was then back to our workshop to assemble what we would need, cable, conduit, and drill bits, armed with all this gear we made our way back to the BS4G workshop to complete the job.

The lights we had fitted last Sunday were being used in the beer cellar and all the kegs are now stored safely. :D

Another job we were asked to do at a later date is to install a new light in a shed in the undercroft, this will be done at a later date once we have the equipment needed.

Lunch was then taken after testing the sockets in the BS4G shed.

1. Jobs still to do are the stairwell lights in the Bury Transport Museum.

2. Two spare faulty lights in our workshop which could be used once they are repaired for the museum stairwell job.

3. One more light fitting to be installed in the beer cellar.

4. Refurbishment of the Station platform lights at Ramsbottom Station.

I shall not be at the railway next Sunday it is our motor club special stage rally at Three Sisters Race Circuit, Wigan. 8)
