From: Stockport, Stalybridge, Huddersfield, Mirfield, Wakefield Kirkgate over Settle & Carlisle to Edinburgh Waverley. Return via East Coast Main Line.

Details:A day excursion travelling to the famous Scottish Capital, from stations in the North taking a circular route over the famous and richly scenic Settle & Carlisle railway, arriving in Edinburgh around mid day. You will have around 4 hours to enjoy the many attractions that the historic. The special train returns southvia the traditional route of the Deltics, theEast CoastMain Line. Compact capital City of Edinburgh is home to, including Edinburgh Castle, Princes Street and it’s renowned shops, The Royal Mile, Holyrood, Greyfriars Bobby, the Heart of Lothian and the Royal Yacht Britannia in Leith Docks, - choose whether to sample them all or dwell at one. A host of great pubs, cafes and restaurants also beckon the visitor.

Should be a cracking couple of weekends with vitually all the ECML covered by Deltic haulage
