Today our team consisted of Clive, John, Jonathan and myself, first task after a brew and a breakfast barm was to check the fire alarm call points at Bury Bolton Street Station.
The checks proved positive and the results recorded.
The 110volt transformer which had been given to us to repair a couple of weeks ago was fitted with a new thermal switch which we had ordered previously, it was wired up and tested OK then delivered back to the Bury Standard 4 Group workshop.
We then attended a meeting with Lee Kenny and the full time electricians in the ELLR office to discuss our roles in the ELLR Electrical Department.
Lunch was then taken in our workshop before making our way back to the BS4G workshop to do some more teats on the Parkson milling machine which has some very intermittent faults with micro switches and contactors.
More work is required on this complex piece of machinery which is used quite a lot in the workshop.
Back next Sunday for more electrifying tales from the ELR Electrical volunteers.
