Today i was joined by Jonathan, Colin and Sophie, we decided to catch the train up to Heywood Station to replace some LED lights on the platform lamp posts.
We collected our mobile tower scaffold and caught the next train up to Heywood Station, on arrival we erected the mobile tower scaffold and replaced a total of four platform LED lights.
There was one light which required replacing in the waiting shelter a bayonet type bulb, all the replaced lights were checked to ensure they were all lit.
Lunch was then taken in the glorious sunshine on the Station platform.
The last job was to check the lights on the ramp approaching the ticket office, these were found to be edison screw type bulbs which will have to be ordered.
We then packed up all our tools and the scaffold and boarded the train back to Bury Bolton Street Station
The last job was to replace a stater and six foot fluorescent tube in a store room at BBS Station.
We then made our way home after another successful day at the East Lancashire Railway.
Back next week on the Forties Weekend.
