The Electrical Volunteers Report Sunday 20-11-2022.

Post by asbibby »

:D Today the electrical volunteers consisted of, John, Jonathan, Colin, Clive and myself, after a brew and a cake each we collected the Christmas lights for Ramsbottom Station, our ladders a few tools and caught the DMU too Ramsbottom. 8)

We erected the Christmas lights on the lamp posts, plugged them into the mains sockets and then operated the mains switch to ensure all the lights worked OK. including the Christmas lights underneath the canopy
A brew and some nice chocolate biscuits was provided for us by the Station Master at Ramsbottom Station, Thank You.

On returning to our workshop in Bury Bolton Street Station for our lunch we received a message from Nigel of the Bury Standard 4 Group that he required some assistance.
This turned out to be a problem with a machine tool in their workshop, a relay seemed to be the problem. :)

Clive made up a timing device to switch on and off automatically the Christmas lights we had erected previously on platform two. 8)

We had a final brew and some more cake before calling it a day, back next week.
Deep in the heart of Swinetown.
