The Electrical Volunteers Report Sunday 30-09-2018.

Myself and Alan were off today. Only Jonathan, Len and John in.
From what I hear:
They fixed the fire alarm in The Trackside (I had given John 2 new Lead/Acid batteries earlier in the week on the assumption this would be the problem). Job solved when they remembered to put the fuse back in!
Work at Summerseat:
To clear one of the lamps of greenery. Another of the lamps wouldn't work despite a new bulb. Sounds like a faulty lamp-holder. And a job for another day. And yet a third fixed with a new bulb. You know, one of these new LED affairs with 50,000 hours of life(sic). [That's 16 years at 8 hours a day!]. Two of the lamp posts were prone to ingress of ants and so the bases were filled with sand/cement mix which will in time set and hopefully defeat the ants. Ant powder was spread on top for good measure.
Thomas next week so see you in a fortnight. Looking forward to meeting and welcoming the new chap who's joining us.
