The Electrical Volunteers Report Sunday 10-04-2016.

Post by asbibby »

8) Just the three of us in today, Jonathan, Len and myself, Clive & John were at a radio ham fair in Blackpool, raising money for their radio clubs coffers.

Len & Jonathan went off first thing to test out the fire alarm call points as per usual, the gents toilets call point on platform two had a broken glass which was replaced and the latching mechanism requires some attention.
The results were logged.

We then spent some time working on changing the light fittings which we had been working on last Sunday, we adapted the plates to take one bayonet fitting in the centre of the base plates instead of four bayonet fittings.
The brass bayonet fittings were wired to the earth screws on the plates, the rest of the wiring we will complete next Sunday.

Another of the globe fixing brackets was found to have snapped off, this was again taken to the Bury Standard Four Group workshop to be welded.

No cake today, i knew there was something missing, Len promised to bring one in next Sunday, fingers crossed.

Back next Sunday for some more electrical work.

Mr. Leyland will be happy Wigan Athletic are now top of Division One by four points with five games left to play. Up the Tics!
