The Electrical Volunteer's Report Sunday 16-2-14

Post by marflow »

No Alan today.

I brought in some crimp-on cable rings, solder and heat shrink for the carriage RCH plug refurbishment program (or are they sockets?) I sourced them at less than half price when compared with RS. (before you ask, they're the same make)

After the usual brew, we went down to the Steam Shed to do some more Portable Appliance Testing. About 15 grinders, drills, a hoover and so on. A boring job but someone has to do it. Found one burned out grinder and another with a knackered lead which we took back to our workshop and repaired.

Back to our workshop for lunch and some Sarah cake I had brought in.

Rodger reported the electricity was off in his shop in the under-croft. The fault was traced to the lights in the driver's office (?) across from our under-stairs cave.

Phoned the station master at Rawt to check our repairs last week to the booking hall clock had been successful. And they were.

See you next week!
