On Sunday it was just John and myself in helping out on the Thomas train as usual, the weather was brilliant with warm sunshine all day, this is very rewarding work and benefits the railway a tremendous amount.I fitted a replacement 13 amp plug on an extension lead which someone had left outside our workshop and fitted an electrical safety notice on the BBS distribution box.
Bury Bolton Street Station was heaving with families out to enjoy themselves on the railway, these are the people who are the railways future customers and will probably book a Santa trip later in the year.
Like XT Mike says in the Forum under General, we need more volunteers to help out on these events, if each non public facing department could provide two or more people on each day, that would be great.
I shall be missing next Sunday, it is our motor club's second special stage rally of the year, The Adgespeed Stages at The Three Sisters Race Circuit, Wigan.
