The Electrical Volunteers Report, Tuesday 24-7-2012.

I was on holiday in the lakes so Jonathan, John, Chris and Simon were came in again to finish off installing the new tunnel lights in BBS.
There was just one new unit to fit, this being the fifth one which did not work before we started to replace the light fittings, the old unit was broken out gently to try to save the pyro connections, we knew previously that there was a fault between the fourth or fifth units, it turned out to be a broken wire in the pyro connections in the fifth unit.
The pyro connections were remade after fitting the new unit and hey presto all six tunnel lights are now working satisfactory.

After lunch an eight foot tube was replaced in the office/workshop down at the carriage and wagon shed, once this had been fitted and tested they made their way back to the workshop and called it a day after a brew.

We will all be back next Sunday, hopefully testing the remote control of the station lights at Summerseat from Ramsbottom signal box.
Deep in the heart of Swinetown.
