The Electrical Volunteers' Report Sunday 13.05.2012

Today saw Len, Jonathan, John and myself together with Chris; a new face in the electrical department. A very warm welcome to Chris.

First job, Len and Jonathan did the fire alarm checks and the results recorded in the logs.

On the bench, the defunct TV that let the side down on Thomas The Tank week-end. No obvious fault so it was returned somewhere or other. It probably isn't worth spending money on as apparently it is quite old. Anyway,a new one had been purchased as a TV was needed immediately for the event.

Simon came and asked for assistance with a problem in the Transport Museum with the air conditioning fans. Some of us went off to investigate.

We then caught the train up to Rawtenstall to begin the long task of maintaining the station platform lamp standards. We'll work our way south and it will probably be a couple of years before we get to the last lamp. By which time, it will be time to start again!

The weather turned somewhat windy and cold so we packed up and caught the 15.15 train south.
