I am still convalescing from my operation, but should be back next week with a bit of luck.
Len rang up to say he could not make it on Sunday as he had to take care of his wife.
Clive, Jonathan and John turned up, first job was to check out the fire alarm systems at The Trackside and BBS and to make notes in the fire alarm log book.
Roger from the 26B shop came over to the workshop and asked the team if they would install another new flurescent light fitting in their model shop, this was duly done and tested.
A report was received regarding a problem with an alarm system this was looked into and then reported to the correct personnel.
A new timer has been ordered for the outside light at Ramsbottom, this will be fitted when we take delivery and an attempt will be made to repair the old one to keep as a spare.
Rawtenstall was then visited to check up on the newly installed station clocks to assertain their accuracy, they are still only five seconds slow after six weeks, so the electronic circuitry that Clive designed appears to be working to a high degree of accuracy, there is a similar control system operating the main station clock on platform three/four at BBS.
Lunch and a brew was taken after catching the train back to BBS.
After lunch the team continued refurbishing carriage plugs after the delivery of more heat shrink tubing, this job seems never ending but will benefit the railway through more reliable connections on the train lighting.
We should have a full compliment of volunteers next Sunday
