I didn't realise that the Crab is now well into its Overhaul, anyone know a return date? I also see 45337 in the background that also seems its coming on nicely with its Overhaul?

Looking nice as always, that wouldn't be a certain Black 5 45212 to the right on Leander would it??, shame you didnt take a Picture of it

They don't have to be picture perfect James! Look ok to me.

Sorry Onslaught but a Crab is a 2-6-0 not a 4-6-0

Oh yeah, oops... think that's because I was thinking of the caption for the 'Leander' photo at the time.

Scott, decided to put this here, excellent shot of deltic in the background with station sign and signals, well thought out. Regards photographing 9f, it has big deflectors on the side, do any shot side on ie roche viaduct, brooksbottom viaduct, from football field after heywood, side on and going away at Burrs and may others and you will not see the face. However like may others sad to see it go, excellent engine, great set of chaps who run it etc

Cheers Nigel, I was thinking about some of these locations. Do you know what the other steamer is? I think we're running two steamers Bury-Rawtenstall and then thumper to Heywood.

As for Deltic it must be the only shot with nobodies arm in the way as they were all on the train (crambed into the front vestibule!) at the time.
