A pleasant Sunday at the ELR today, i was joined by John, David and Jonathan, after a brew and a breakfast barm it was on to the first task of the day, namely recovering the lamp heads we are refurbishing from Rawtenstall Station.Six lamp heads were recovered from storage and duly rubbed down and painted in black smoothrite metal paint.
The fire alarm call point checks were done at Bury Bolton Street Station and logged.
Lunch was then taken with Mr Kiplings cakes provided by Sue Sue.
After lunch we took down the blue button crossing equipment from the Station Masters office for modification.
The lamp heads were then re-assembled and stored away ready for testing and installation next Sunday at Rawtenstall Station.
We had a final brew and polished off the remaining cakes before packing in for the day.
