The Electrical Volunteers Report Sunday 27-08-2023.

Post by asbibby »

 just the four of in today on an extremely wet Sunday, Clive, Colin, David and myself, we had a swift brew and a breakfast barm before sourcing our tools and a small trolley to carry all the equipment then caught the 10:10 train up to Rawtenstall Station.

On arrival it was still raining so we got cracking on sorting out the stubborn bolts and studs which had been unable to remove from the electrical cover plates on some of the lamp posts last Sunday.
We used Clive's socket set and a big hammer to remove the awkward bolts which were causing us a problem, the bolts that had been removed OK last Sunday were greased to ensure they won't be a problem in future. 8)

We investigated the three switches controlling the switching of the platform lights at Rawtenstall Station.

The next train was caught back to our workshop with lunch being taken on the way back.

An electrical drill was repaired with a new mains lead fitted and the drill greased, it will be PAT tested next Sunday, that was it for the day, back next week. :)
