The Electrical Volunteers Report Sunday 02-04-2023.

:D Today i was joined by Sophia, Colin, Jonathan, and Clive and what a beutiful day it was, blue skies and warm sunshine.
First job after a brew was to test the fire alarm call points at Bury Bolton Street Station, all was well and the results logged. :)

Next task was to obtain ladders so we could take down the BBS booking hall square clock to fit more LED lights and to re-install the control unit case.
The clock was fitted with the extra lights in our workshop, tested then installed back in the booking hall. the time was adjusted and the lights checked out OK.

The emergency lights on BBS overbridge were found last Sunday to have a problem with a relay, this was investigated and the problem found to be with the relay contacts.
A further two light fittings were taken down and taken to our workshop for further investigation and testing. :)

lunch was taken outside of our workshop in the sunshine, Mike Kelly the ELR chairman paid us a visit and had a chat with us all. :D

A light in the booking hall above the cigarette vending machine which has not worked for decades was repaired, a new light fitting was wiring up and fitted with a new LED bulb and tested OK.

I had been contacted by the Bury Standard 4 Group to ask if we could repair some angle grinders of various sizes, a total of five grinders were collected and taken back to our workshop for repair.
Three 240v and two 110v grinders were repaired, new brushes and broken wires sorted out the problems, they were the returned back to the BS4G workshop.

A final brew was had before setting off back home, we are having a day off next Sunday, back the week after. :D
Deep in the heart of Swinetown.
