The Electrical Volunteers Report Sunday 18-12-2022.

Post by asbibby »

:D Today on another cold and damp day i was joined by Jonathan and Clive, after a brew and a chocolate cup cake we set about the first tasks of the day.

Jonathan replaced a switch on a bench grinder which we had been given to repair, the switch was wired up, then PAT tested. 8)

Two electric drill, one 240v and one 110v drills were tested, a switch on the 240v drill was freed and then the drill was PAT tested.

The 110v drill needs new brushes.

Clive wired up another two LED tube fittings for future use. :)

Two six foot fluorescent fittings were collected from the Bury Standard 4 Group workshop for modification in our workshop to enable the fitting of LED tubes, they will be installed at a later date in the New Year.

Lunch was then taken in our workshop with pies and coffee supplied by the ELR. :P

The foot crossing gate at Bury Bolton Street Station was brought to our attention, we managed a temporary repair, someone had damaged it overnight.

We had a final brew with another chocolate cup cake supplied by Sue Sue before calling it a day, World Cup Final was calling. :D

The Electrical Volunteerswould like to wish all our reader a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, we shall be back in the New Year for more electrifying adventures. :D
