The Electrical Volunteers Report Saturday 01-10-2022.

Post by asbibby »

I decided to come in today, Saturday to look for our ladders and finish off couple of jobs from last Sunday which i soon found around the undercroft. :P

I had a lovely bacon barm and a nice warm brew before starting work on re-assembling and testing one of the remaining lamp heads which we had refurbished.
Four of the lamp heads are for Summerseat Station and the other one is a spare.

The Station was very busy with it being a Thomas the Tank engine weekend with plenty of children with their parents.

I then checked the light switches in the undercroft and Simon the full time ELR electrician had replaced the old bank of four metal switches with four brand new modern switches and all worked OK. :)

Lunch was then taken in the platform 3/4 cafe, a nice warm meat and potato pie with a cup of coffee, i chatted with Bob Johnson who needed some help with Christmas present boxes which required sorting out in the carriage on platform 1. :o
Once the present boxes had been sorted i left for home to watch the footie.

Back a week on Sunday for the Steam Gala for next Sunday is our motor club's special stage rally at Three Sisters Race Circuit, Wigan. :D
Deep in the heart of Swinetown.
