The Electrical Volunteer's Report Sunday 09/12/2018

Post by marflow »

Today, Len, Jonathan and myself, Clive.
Report that Christmas lights had come down at Rawtenstall.
So train up there to sort it out. On arrival, not as bad as feared. Just one section down. No smashed bulbs. Refixed with new and bigger ties.
We need to sort out the ladders up there. They're being kept under the static vans and subject to all the weather. They used to be kept inside the vans but the pub seems to have commandeered them.
Anyway. Next train back and some lunch.
The coffin -phone on platform 3 was coming loose as it was continually being caught by the gate. So we moved it slightly and refixed.
Christmas tree near cafe platform 3/4 not lit. Wires broken. You know. Those stupid thin things you get with modern trash. Sorted. And plugs and adaptors resighted and made safe.
We've repaired and refurbished an old POST OFFICE sign for the Museum. Will get it to them next week.
Chrimbo cards changed hands among mince pies and tea. And off we went until next week.
