The Electrical Volunteers Report Sunday 18-11-2018.

Post by asbibby »

 Just myself and Jonathan in today, on the pat & Mick list where Clive, Len and John, we were going to erect the Christmas lights on platform two but as there was only two of us this will be done next week. 8)

Sue had bought us some of Tesco's finest cream cakes to taste and with there being only two of us that meant we had to devour three cakes each, Mmmmmm!

We did the usual fire alarm call point tests at the Trackside bar and Bury Bolton Street concourse, everything worked satisfactorily and the results recorded. :)

The mobile tower scaffold was found in the beer storage and a request was put to the pop man to make it more accessible and locate it in front of the fibreglass electrical cabinet so we can utilise it next Sunday.

The next task was to sort out two of the overbridge lights at BBS, a duff six foot LED tube was swapped for a fluorescent six foot with the starter changed for a conventional one.
The other light proved to be a bit of a problem, with a combination of duff spares, we decided to make a test rig in our workshop and test the spare LED tubes that we had found along with a spare fluorescent fitting they are all now marked as tested OK and the duff ones disposed of.

We will fix the last overbridge light next week.

With that we finished off the cakes, and legged it hame to watch the England V Croatia game on the telly.

We have had a few failures with LED replacements bulbs and tubes but the energy they save is very beneficial, so no we won't be going back to conventional bulbs and tubes.

The two overbridge faulty fittings will be sorted.
