Electrical Volunteers Report Sunday 9th Marcc 2014

I came in on Saturday and cleaned the old paint off some carriage connector termination covers ready for repainting.

On Sunday it was just me and Len. We tested the fire alarms as usual. We then did some work on the carriage connectors. We used blow lamp to solder brass pins onto some new leads. We then assembled some connectors into the castings using the new leads and other components.

After dinner we went to Rammy and took the heads off the tops of three lamp posts. We took these back to Bury for refurbishment. We will be refurbishing all the lamp post heads at Rammy during the summer. We just take a few at a time so there will still be plenty of light from the remaining lamps.
