Myself and Jack had a good day.

Went to Summerseat to check for ant hills in lamp posts which we have had a problem with in the past, It appears that the sand and cement mix that we poured in about 2 years ago has had the desired effect. Only one lamp post with a slight problem. I scooped out about 4 handfuls of soil.

We looked at the water boiler that has been in our shop for a few weeks. Found that the thermostat is faulty and will need to be replaced.

Nigel Barnes asked us to look at his lathe in Standard 4 shed. All the lights trip out when the coolant pump is switched on. We found that the pump motor has an earthing fault. We isolated it from the rest of the machine so that lathe can still be used without the coolant pump. Alan Schofield will need to get a replacement motor.

Changed some light bulbs in platform 3 and 4 bogs. Found a faulty fitting. We can sort it next week.

See you all next week at the ELR.
