:D It was back to being a carriage steward again on Saturday, the trains had been reduced to four carriages each for both the steam and diesel trains. 8)

The weather forecast for the day was for a mainly dry day with the chance of a shower or two, as it turned out that was correct with a bit of rain at Rawtenstall Station.
We were told that Rawtenstall Station would be closed and locked up due to Rawtenstall being in Lancashire and they are in the top tier in the Covid-19 pandemic, no one was allowed in or out of the station.

The first train to Rawtenstall left on time at 10:00 after the Scotrail diesel engine had arrived from Heywood Station, our motive power for today was the Bury Standard 4 engine 80097, which would be very busy over the weekend hauling the trains on both days and the evening dining train on Saturday. :D
The trains would not be stopping at Irwell Vale Halt as this nation is also in Lancashire, so it was off through the station with just a blast on the whistle.

On arrival at Rawtenstall Station all was quiet with the station being shut along with the Rubber Dub Dub i.e. Buffers.
All the tables inside the carriage and door handles were all sanitised ready for our return to Bury Bolton Street Station.
On stepping out of the carriage at Rawtenstall Station it was noticed that the local yobs had been busy uprooting some of the plants which had been planted in the raised flower beds adjacent the the closed cafe on platform one.
I managed to replant most of them over the rest of the day, but some were looking a bit sad having been uprooted for a unknown period of time. :x
The wooden fence had also suffered a bit from the locals when gaining access to the platform.

The rest of the day passed without further incidents, the Caravan Club at Burrs Halt providing us with more fare paying customers. :)

On arrival back in Bury Bolton Street Station the carriages were given their final clean of the day ready for Sunday's customers.
The Trackside pub seemed to be quite busy with customers admiring the Dining with Distinction train being made ready for it's evening trip. 8)
Deep in the heart of Swinetown.
