The Electrical Volunteers Report Sunday 23-02-2020.

:D Not too bad the weather today, bit of rain , cloudy then a bit of welcome sunshine, i was joined by a full team today, Clive, Colin, John, Jonathan, Len and myself.
A brew was had before we started to decide what jobs would be tackled today.

Jonathan and Len did the fire alarm call point checks on Bury Bolton Street Station concourse and The Trackside pub on platform two, all worked OK and the results logged. 8)

Next task was to reinstate a light fitting in the booking hall, which had the centre plastic cover epoxy resined to repair all the cracks in it.

Clive and Len sourced some lamps, screw and bayonet fittings to replace a blown lamp in the waiting shelter at Rawtenstall Station, they caught the !0:00 train to Rawtenstall to effect a repair.

Jonathan, John, Colin and myself walked up to the Bury Standard 4 Group shed to install a new light switch which we had sourced last week, this was changed and all the lights tested.
An LED tube was missing on the mezzanine floor and this was replaced, it was also noted that a tube was missing in another fitting but this will need the mobile tower scaffold to effect a replacement tube. :)
We made a drawing of what each switch operates which lights, for future use.

Next task was to carry on walking to Baron Street yard were the new containers are housed to look at a job for the BS4G.
After making a few notes and assessing what parts we would need we made our way back to our workshop in BBS Station for some lunch and a brew. Clive and Len had also returned from the job at Rawtenstall Station.
The speedo head from 80097 was also collected to see if we can make it operate correctly.
Sue had provided us with six of Tesco's finest cream cakes, just enough one for each of us, Mmmmmm.

Rubbish outside our workshop was removed and then we tided up the workshop, plastic and metal trunking storage was reorganised and tided up. :x

Some 110v emergency lighting which had been dumped outside of our workshop was sorted out and stored away.

We had a final brew and some chocolate biscuits before leaving for home, back next week for more enlightening stories.
Deep in the heart of Swinetown.
