The Electrical Volunteer's Report Sunday 30/06/2019

Post by marflow »

Just 3 of us today; Colin, Jonathan, Clive.
The fire alarm at The Trackside was tested as usual and the results logged. We couldn't do the alarm in the main building as somebody had locked the room with the fire panel.
Then, with table outside, we tested and checked the wiring of the lamps from Summerseat. We set to with paintbrushes and painted the previously rubbed down lamps. All oversean by Jonathan, our magic paint man. We considered rewiring the lamp with the solar cell using a length of 4-core; but decided to leave it be with the existing two 3-cores. If it works, don't mess with it! Even though it's a bit untidy. It's done well. I remember sourcing the cell and fitting it around 2007. It's well hidden in an arm of the "lollipop". The lid of the cell was refixed using good old Araldite.
Then we went for a ride hauled by Ernest whilst the paint dried.
The lamps were then stored away ready for refitting perhaps next week.
No mention of tea or cake this time!
