The Electrical Volunteers Report Sunday 06-01-2019.

Post by asbibby »

:D The first meet of the New Year saw four intrepid electrical volunteers, Jonathan, Clive, Len and myself.
First task was to fill the kettle up and have a warming brew in our workshop with a bakewell tart supplied by Len. 8)

Jonathan and Len went off to do the usual testing of the fire alarm call points in The Trackside & Bury Bolton Street Station concourse, all was well and the results recorded in the log books. :)

Jonathan and myself went to Baron Street works to do some measuring of the amount of flexible conduit that we would need to wire up the Smiths speedo in 80097.
We had the BR drawings to ensure that the route we would take for the conduit run would be accurate, approximately ten feet of flexible conduit will be needed.

We then caught the 11:55 train hauled by the GWR tank engine to Rawtenstall Station to recover the Christmas lights and to fit a new LED corn bulb on one of the Station lamps.

Lunch was taken on the train up to Rawtenstall, once we had completed the work we caught the 105 DMU back to our workshop in BBS. We had a final brew and then made our way home, we shall be back next week to recover more Christmas lights from Rammy or Heywood.

Happy new Year to everyone connected to the ELR, in one way or another from the Electrical Department.
Deep in the heart of Swinetown.
