:D A full team turned up today, Clive, Jonathan, Colin, Len, John and myself, with the weather looking promising it was decided to carry on erecting the Christmas lights at Rawtenstall & Ramsbottom Stations. :D

With the clocks going back to GMT time, Clive and John & Colin adjusted the electronically controlled station clocks in the Trackside & Bury Bolton Street platform drum clock. 8)

Len and Jonathan tested the fire alarm call points on the concourse and the Trackside pub, everything worked OK and the results logged. :)

I got all the equipment we would need, mobile tower scaffold, two sets of Christmas lights, spare bulbs, tools, and various spare LED bulbs for changing in the booking hall.
We caught the 10:20 train up to Rawtenstall Station, erected the lights and replaced at least twenty five spent bulbs.
Clive also readjusted the clocks in Rawtenstall Station & changed some LED bulbs in the booking hall.
A faulty LED platform corn bulb was also changed for a new LED bulb.
Lunch was had on the train back to Ramsbottom Station, on arrival at Ramsbottom Station we carried on with erecting Christmas lights, after a lamp check we replaced about twenty bulbs spent bulbs.
We have so far replaced one hundred bulbs and more will have to be ordered, as we ran out of bulbs at Ramsbottom, at least another twenty three require changing there.
Once we had finished, the next train was boarded to take us back to BBS via Rawtenstall and a late finish today.

Back next week for more enlightening moments, but not me as i shall be at the footy, Wigan V Leeds. :(

Aren't these LED lamps supposed to last for ages?

Yes they are supposed to last ages and the vast majority do, unfortunately a low percentage do fail.
The electronics inside the LED's can fail and sections of the LED arrays can also fail.

That's the way the cookie crumbles!!!!!!!!!!

Or should that be the cakes?

On BBS today, people were saying the drum clock on P3/4 is two minutes slow! Can it be adjusted?

Re Platform 3/4 drum clock. Are both sides 2 minutes slow?
Annoyed about that as I so-called checked on the BST to GMT change over.
