A decent day weather wise today a big improvement on yesterday, reasonably warm and nice and dry.
:D Today the team consisted of Clive, Jonathan, Len and myself, first job after a quick brew was to test the fire alarm call points in the Trackside and the booking hall, everything worked fine and the results were logged.

Clive had brought in some parts for us to install four 13A sockets in the mess room on platform 3/4 at Bury Bolton Street Station. A steel cabinet was moved to gain access for us to install plastic trunking and the two new sockets.
The sockets were wired up and the sockets tested OK.

Lunch was then taken in our workshop with another hot brew. :)

We then recovered our Smiths generator and speedo head and made a start on trying to figure out how to calibrate the output of the generator ie. number of revs per MPH showing on the speedo head.

We took a number of readings with various voltages from the generator and tried to work out the peak to peak voltages which appear to be linear when compared with the readings from the oscilloscope.
We will have to do more work on this project. 8)

A final brew was had with custard tarts provided by Sue and then it was out with the bleach to clean all the accumulated stains from our tea cups.

I will not be at the railway next week, Wigan play Southampton in the quarter finals of the FA Cup, the rest of the Electrical volunteers will be in, with a bit of luck. :)

Quite the contrary. I never seem to get to finish my brew. Someone or something always seems to come along to divert my attention (easy) and I forget about it. That's why the cup(s) get so stained. Left over tea in 'em.
