The Electrical Volunteers Report Sunday 21-1-2018.

Post by asbibby »

:( Just the three of us in today, Johnathan, John and myself, Clive & Len were still Pat & Mick, we were going to dismantle the Christmas lights and other electrical work at Rawtenstall Station, but due to the inclement weather we decided to postpone the work for the time being.

After a brew it was reported to us that some lights were not working in the booking hall at Bury Bolton Street Station.
We replaced burnt out starters in two of the light units and gave the shades a good clean, the other two light units near the ticket barrier had their shades cleaned also. 8)

The booking office staff asked us to replace a cover on another of the light units, the cover was given a clean before being replaced, another light unit cover nearest the front office was taken down and this also was fettled before being cleaned and refitted.

Next job was to replace a four foot fluorescent tube in the ticket barrier office which was not working, a new tube was sourced , fitted and tested.

We then retired for some lunch and a warm in our workshop, the weather was steadily getting worse with snow falling and sticking on the ground to it was decided to call it a day and have a early dart. :?

Back next week hoping for some better and a bit warmer weather. :D
