8) Just myself, John and Jonathan in today, Clive was at a amateur radio event, and Len was looking after his wife who was unwell.
After a brew and something to eat we boarded the late 09:20 train to Rawtenstall, with the six refurbished lamp heads.

On arrival at rawtenstall Station we informed the Station Master what we intended to do and borrowed the extension ladder from the freight van.
We started at the Ramsbottom end of platform one/two taking down one lamp head before moving on to the next lamp post and installing a refurbished lamp head. After removing three lamp heads and replacing three lamp heads we had lunch outside of the carriage cafe with tea kindly provided by Martin in the cafe. :D

The weather was kindly to us with a bit of sunshine, but at least it wasn't wet or cold, with lunch finished we made a start on fitting the last three refurbished lamp heads and removing another three lamp heads for refurbishment back in our Bury Bolton Street Station workshop. :)

The extension ladder was returned to the freight van, our tools collected along with the six lamp heads for refurbishment and we boarded the train back to Bury Bolton Street Station.

All the equipment was stored away safely and we departed for home, back next week for (Don't Mention The War).
Deep in the heart of Swinetown.
