The Electrical Volunteers Report Sunday 9-4-2017.

Post by asbibby »

Just the three of us today on a glorious sunny day, i was joined by Len & Jonathan, Clive and John were attending a radio buy and sell bonanza at the Norbreck Hydro in Blackpool. :P

We obtained our tools and caught the second train from BBS to Rawtenstall to take down six of the station platform lights for refurbishment. The two section ladder was sourced from the stores and we proceed to disconnect the lamp head wiring to enable us to take down the lamp heads.

Lunch was then taken outside in the sunshine with a brew provided by the cafe staff, who asked us to have a look at one of the coolers which did not appear to work.
The problem turned out to be a tripped circuit breaker in the fuse box, the circuit breaker was reset and the cooler checked to ensure it was cooling correctly. 8)

It was then back to our workshop in BBS and stored away safely the six lamp heads ready for refurbishing next week, we will need to purchase some rust killer as some of the lamp heads are in a poor state. :(

We had a final brew and some of Aldi's finest whiskey cake before leaving to go home, back next week for some more electrical shenigins.
Deep in the heart of Swinetown.
