The Electrical Volunteers Report Sunday 11-9-2016.

8) A full team turned up today, John, Len, Jonathan, Clive and myself, we got on with the first job of the day, i.e. the fire alarm call point tests at the Trackside and Bury Bolton Street Station concourse.
Everything worked to our satisfaction and the results were recorded in the appropriate log books.

The next task was to PAT test the three hot water boilers which we had been given last week to test to see if they were workers or not.
All three boilers passed the PAT testing along with another spare boiler which also required testing, labels were fixed on the plug tops and they were placed into store by Roger. 8)

An old water boiler which we had in the workshop was stripped for spares, namely the thermostatic control mechanism.

Lunch was then taken outside our workshop in glorious sunshine, along with a fresh brew.

After lunch we decided to catch the train up to Rawtenstall Station to do lamp checks on the station platform lighting from the train. At Summerseat Station a few of the station lights are being obscured by overhanging branches and creeping ivy.
We will tackle this job next week along with a bit of painting of one of the electrical/comms. box at Rawtenstall Station.

On our return to Bury Bolton Street we had a final brew before calling it a day.
Deep in the heart of Swinetown.
