The Electrical Volunteers Report Sunday 4-9-2016.

Post by asbibby »

Just the two of us today, Len and myself, John contacted us via mobile phone to say that a job had come up which he had to see to.
Clive was at a radio club meet and Jonathan was away on holiday.

Len and myself had a quick brew before testing out the fire alarm system in the Trackside and Bury Bolton Street Station concourse, all was well and we recorded the facts in both log books.
The fire alarm zone sign in the BBS concourse was fitted permanently to the wall adjacent to the fire alarm panel, this had been previously been wedged behind the pyro wiring. :P

Roger from the 26B shop asked if we could test three hot water boilers which someone had left near the carriage cleaners hut.
All three tested out OK after a good clean inside and out, they will be PAT tested tomorrow by the ELR full time staff. :D

A double light fitting which we had swapped out last week in the carriage and wagon shed was repaired and wired up, this will be used as a spare.

Lunch was taken in our workshop with a brew, after which we decided to catch the train up to Heywood Station to check out the scenery.

Back next week with a full crew.

Hope you liked the newly painted door to your workshop and didn't find any wet paint!

I don't think they noticed it Richard, they were too worried about the fact that none of them had brought any sticky buns this week.
