The Electrical Volunteers Report Sunday 20-4-2014.

Post by asbibby »

:) On Saturday Jonathan was busy stripping down, sanding, cleaning and repainting three of the station lamp heads we had removed last week from Ramsbottom Station.
The three lamp heads were all completed ready for fitting back at Ramsbottom Station on Sunday.

Len & Jonathan tested out the fire alarm call points as per usual in the Trackside & BBS Station, all was well and the findings recorded.

On Sunday Jonathan was joined by Len and myself, Clive and John both being still under the weather a bit.
Hughie brought into the workshop an extension cable in need of repair and replacement fittings and the ticket inspector requiring a heater.
The extension cable was repaired and PAT tested along with a repaired heater for the ticket inspector.

Len & Jonathan then caught the next train to Ramsbottom with the three refurbished lamp heads whilst i attended a Bury Steam locomotive meeting.

Hughie later picked up the repaired extension lead which Jonathan had finished repairing once they had returned from Ramsbottom.
Three more lamp heads had been taken down and these were stripped down the plastic covers washed and the metal work rubbed down ready for repainting next week.

That was it for another day in the electrical department, back next week. :D
Deep in the heart of Swinetown.
