The Electrical Volunteers Report Sunday 25-4-2010.

Post by asbibby »

I was rallying in Anglesey on Sunday so this report is from information given to me by Len Allen.
Len, Clive Jonathan and John met up on Sunday, first job was to test all the fire alarm call points in The Trackside and the Station surrounds, individual fire alarm call points are tested each week and a full test of all the fire alarm call points are tested once a month.
The results are all logged to prove testing is taking place, one plastic fire alarm call point cover was found to be broken and will have to be replaced.
The team then broke off for a spot of lunch and a brew before starting on the next tasks.
We had been asked during the week to carry on checking the fluorescent light fittings at Baron Street works, so Len and John set off for Baron Street to tackle the faulty light fittings, some fittings were changed and others repaired were possible. There are about two or three still faulty but we will have to arrange for some stock to be removed to gain access to to the remaining faulty units.
Len and John were then asked by one of the guards to repair and test some of the charging leads for the carriages, this duly done they were handed back to the guards in their office.
Jonathan and Clive meanwhile went up to Rawtenstall to check out some fittings for the new clock which will be installed in the booking office at Rawtenstall.
Deep in the heart of Swinetown.
