The Electrical Volunteers Report Sunday 21-3-2010

Post by asbibby »

I was competing on a special stage rally in Weston Park near Telford so it was left to Clive, John, Jonathan and Len to carry on with work repairing and replacing some of the faulty flurescent light fittings at The Baron Street Works.
We had started this job a couple of weeks ago on the Ian Riley side of the works, repairing some of the fittings and replacing others, we were unable to fit shades to the new fittings as they had been omitted from the original order, these had now been delivered so the shades have now been fitted. The remaining fittings have now been repaired or replaced with new fittings, apart from a couple which are fitted in an awkward position. Next week we will make a start on light fittings on The ELR side of the works.
Meanwhile Clive had decided to go up to Rawtenstall to check out an old clock mechanism fitted on the wall in the waiting room, to see if it contained a master lock mechanism which could possible be used to drive the large clock which Hughie had purchased in a car boot sale.
Clive obtained permission to take the clock down and to take home to his workshop, to investigate further, we shall have to wait to see what Clive comes up with?
Deep in the heart of Swinetown.
