The Electrical Volunteers report Sunday 09-01-2022.

Post by asbibby »

8) We are back for the first time in 2022, i was joined by Clive, John, Jonathan, and Colin, Bury Bolton Street Station was eerily quiet.

The weather was not too clever with light rain but at least it was not too cold.

We had a swift brew before we gathering up some tools and our ladders to take down the Christmas lights on platform two, these were then gathered up and taken to our workshop for repairs to many of the bulb holders. 8)

Lunch was taken in our workshop with another brew, we then carried on with the repairs to the Christmas lights. :?:

It was brought to our attention that the last lamp standard light on platform two was not illuminated, we sorted out some spares and then the weather turned and it started to rain again, so we postponed the job till next Sunday. :o

Back to the workshop to dry off, then a final brew with some mince pies and apple tarts, we now have enough cakes to last us a couple of weeks.

Access to the BBS overbridge has been sorted for next week so that we can effect repairs on the lights and emergency lights. :D
