Great shots Ian, by the time had finished work and got there it was a bit to late for really decent fots, a great thing for the elr .

The video montage by ELR's Rory Lushman pretty much sums up the visit for all to enjoy:

I particularly liked the closing shot from Heywood Crossing. Wonder what the motorists were thinking when the lights and sirens sounded on a Saturday! Unless there was a crossing marshall on hand to show it was for a genuine movement, maybe there's a fault? Then there's a throaty horn blast and a lengthy HST eventually rumbles past, lovely stuff.

Does anyone know if the St Pancras departures board showed Rawtenstall for the train's destination?

I believe it said "Castleton Hopwood GF"

Have we had any feedback from the visitors?

Ta to all for their considerable work on this one, especially those who have many other jobs to do and whose time has been taken up with the organisation and the hoops that had to be jumped through.
All went well, at least we know that we are 'gauged' for the future.
In a time when TOC's take a fair amount of stick for not doing anything out of the ordinary, the folks at EMT wanted to make this happen and were so positive.
Even 43049 on the train for Malc K!
